Terms of service

The rules for using the Cornerstone Web Co. website. Written plainly, like everything else we do.

Last updated: July 26, 2026

These Terms govern use of the Cornerstone website. They do not replace the Master Service Agreement, which governs paid client work.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of the Cornerstone Web Co. website at cornerstonewebco.net (the "Website"). They set the rules for using the Website and explain the relationship between you, as a visitor, and Cornerstone Web Co. ("Cornerstone," "we," "us," or "our"). Your use of the Website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle information.

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website. These Terms apply to your use of the Website only; they do not replace any separate agreement you sign with us as a client (see Section 8).

2. Website Use

You may use the Website for lawful purposes and to learn about our services. You are responsible for your own use of the Website and for any information you submit through it. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Website at any time without notice.

3. Intellectual Property

The Website and its content — including text, graphics, logos, design, and code — are owned by Cornerstone or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive license to view and use the Website for your own informational and business purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, scrape, or create derivative works from our materials without our written permission. Intellectual property in work we create for paying clients is addressed separately in the Master Service Agreement.

4. Acceptable Use

When using the Website, you agree not to:

  • — use the Website for any unlawful purpose;
  • — attempt to damage, disable, disrupt, or overload the Website;
  • — attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, its systems, or any accounts;
  • — copy, scrape, or misuse our proprietary materials; or
  • — use the Website to infringe the rights of others.

5. Third-Party Links

The Website may link to third-party websites we do not control. We provide these links for convenience and are not responsible for the content, products, or practices of those websites. We encourage you to review their terms and privacy policies.

6. No Professional Advice

The content on the Website is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal, financial, or other professional advice, and using the Website does not create a business, advisory, or contractual relationship between you and Cornerstone.

7. Quotes and Estimates

Information on the Website — including service descriptions, pricing examples, and any consultation or conversation — is for general guidance and does not constitute a binding offer. A project and its price become binding only when confirmed in a written agreement signed by both parties, such as a Statement of Work under our Master Service Agreement.

8. Client Agreements

If you become a paying client, your engagement is governed by the separate agreements you sign with us, including our Master Service Agreement and the applicable Statement of Work. Those agreements — not these Terms — govern the services we provide to you. If there is a conflict between these Terms and a signed client agreement, the signed agreement controls for that engagement.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Website and its content are provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including any warranty that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components. Warranties for services we provide to clients are addressed in the Master Service Agreement.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cornerstone will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Website. Our total liability relating to the Website is limited to one hundred dollars ($100) or the amount you paid us to access the Website, whichever is greater. Liability for services we provide to clients is addressed in the Master Service Agreement.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to the Website will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. Disputes relating to client services are governed by the dispute-resolution terms in the Master Service Agreement.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Website after we post changes means you accept the updated Terms.
